Throw for a Cure a success despite snowstorm

By Rosalind Russell – Over $2,600 and counting has been raised as part of the 8th Annual Throw for a Cure.

The event took a hiatus of one year due to the pandemic.

Saturday’s snowstorm didn’t stop 30 people from coming out to support the event at the Webbwood Eagles Hall says organizer Shelly Michon.

She says 15 teams of two took part in the afternoon gathering, which was an excellent turnout with the money going towards the Northern Cancer Research Foundation.

Michon also extends a thank you to the businesses that supported the event and the Eagles for donating the hall.
