In Northern Ontario, artistic gymnastics is experiencing a renaissance! This year, the Northern Ontario secondary school gymnastics Championships (NOSSA) took place at GymZone in Sudbury on March 28. Among the spectators present were future gymnasts from École secondaire catholique La Renaissance in Espanola. These young athletes expect to begin their training in this discipline in the fall with the aim of representing their school at regional competitions in 2024. Despite the cancellation of the provincial gymnastics championship (OFSSA) in 2018, gymnasts from secondary schools in Greater Sudbury still train with passion in this discipline and compete both at the local and regional levels. It is with pride that the Lynx of La Renaissance will participate in the revival of this beloved sport.
La renaissance de la gymnastique
Dans le Nord de l’Ontario, la gymnastique artistique vit une renaissance ! Cette année, le championnat de gymnastique des écoles secondaires du Nord de l’Ontario (NOSSA) s’est déroulé à GymZone à Sudbury le 28 mars. Au nombre des spectateurs, on comptait de futures gymnastes de l’ÉSC La Renaissance. Ces jeunes athlètes amorceront leur entraînement dans cette discipline dès l’automne dans le but de représenter leur école aux compétions régionales en 2024. En dépit de l’annulation du championnat provincial de gymnastique (OFSSA) en 2018, les gymnastes des écoles secondaires du Grand Sudbury s’entraînent toujours avec passion et participent à des compétitions au niveau local et régional. C’est avec fierté que les Lynx participeront à la renaissance de ce sport bien aimé.
