Vernon Cameron elected as Chair of Laurentian University Board of Governors

By Rosalind Russell – Vernon Cameron is the incoming Chair of Laurentian’s Board of Governors, effective July 1st.

Cameron says as a proud alumnus of Laurentian University and the Faculty of Management, he’s honoured to serve as Chair.

Cameron joined the Board in April of 2022, having spent the last 19 years in the U.S. in the public and private sectors.

After graduation from Laurentian in 1984, he became a chartered accountant in 1986 and received his Executive MBA from the Katz School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh in 2008, and has served on several board committees over the short term.

Cameron will succeed Jeff Bangs, who announced his retirement for personal reasons earlier this month.
