By Rosalind Russell – If you enjoy summer, fresh barbecue and some great music, an Espanola business is the place to be today.
Espanola’s Home Hardware is hosting a free community barbecue and live music gathering.
The show will feature the popular Canadian tribute band Whisky Jack, with members highlighting not only the music but also the stories of musical icon Stompin’ Tom Connors.
Focusing his career exclusively on his native Canada, Stompin’ Tom is credited with writing more than 300 songs including Sudbury Saturday Night and The Hockey Song played at every Toronto Maple Leafs’ home games.
The event runs from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm.
