Homelessness funding

By Rosalind Russell – Nearly $1.7 million dollars in additional funding is going to the Homelessness Prevention Program for the Manitoulin-Sudbury District Services Board.

It brings the Province’s total to over $2.5 million.

Officials say the increased investment in homelessness prevention is the result of an updated funding formula that considers the costs and challenges of delivering the services in Northern Ontario.
