September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

By Rosalind Russell – A flag has been raised at town hall in Espanola to mark Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

The flag was raised September first and will bring focus to the local campaign being led by the Moose 99.3FM to raise funds for the Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer.

The Beer Store in Espanola is collecting empties throughout the month, just tell the staff it is for the Moose campaign, and Black Creek Sno-Shoe Trails is continuing to host Toonie Trail Tuesday for the cause.

The Moose will be hosting a radiothon on Friday, September 22nd, from six am to two pm, to raise money for the organization and its 23 different programs supporting families who have children facing ongoing challenges.
