(SABLES-SPANISH RIVERS TOWNSHIP, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person for drug related offences after a search warrant was executed.
On September 14, 2023, shortly after 12:00 p.m., the OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) with the assistance of the Manitoulin Detachment of the OPP, executed a search warrant at a business on Sable Street in Sables-Spanish Rivers Township.
Police located cannabis, psilocybin, as well as unmarked cigarettes.
As a result of the investigation, Victoria NICHOLSON, 49-years-old, from Sables-Spanish Rivers Township was arrested and charged with:
· Unlawfully sell cannabis
· Unlawfully possess cannabis for the purpose of selling it
· Possess schedule III substance for the purpose of trafficking
· Possess unmarked cigarettes for sale
· Possess a quantity of unmarked cigarettes
· Possess property obtained by crime under $5,000
The accused was released following a bail hearing on September 15, 2023, and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Espanola on October 3, 2023.
