By Rosalind Russell – The Espanola Elks has partnered once again with The Moose 99.3 FM – CJJM for the 47th Annual Hamper Fund.
Elk’s hamper fund chair, Gary Tennant, says anyone wanting a hamper must attend in person on Thursday, November 23rd, Friday, November 24th and Saturday, November 25th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. to register.
He adds on the Saturday, Elk members will be at the Espanola Mall from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to collect donations for the hampers, which include a turkey with all the fixings.
Tennant says the hampers are then delivered just before Christmas by club members and volunteers from other local service clubs in Espanola and to communities along the North Shore corridor with an average of 150 to 200 hampers distributed every year.
