By Grant Lewis – It’s amazing what 5,000 rubber duckies can produce!! Over $20,775 dollars!!!! That’s how much the Lions Club raised for North Shore Search and Rescue through the sale of yellow duckies for the annual July 1st Duck Race..unfortunately a few ducks have found new homes near Spanish……….At a recent Lions meeting, members of N.S.S.R. we’re on hand to receive the cheque. The money will be used to enhance training, to purchase new equipment and to pay the ever increasing cost of insurance.
