Team Cambrian College Set for Provincial Marketing Competition

By Rosalind Russell – It is all about preparation, presentation, pitching, and sealing the deal for a team of students from Cambrian College’s School of Business.

College professor Marnie Staffen, the co-lead coach for Team Cambrian, says the team of 18 is primed for the annual Ontario Colleges Marketing Competition being held this week in Collingwood.

She says 14 of Ontario’s public colleges are taking part with the students competing in dozens of categories including direct marketing, entrepreneurship, international business, research, job interviews, and sales presentations.

Staffen adds in the past five years, members of Team Cambrian have won a total of eight medals at OCMC, including one gold, two silver, and five bronze and they are hoping to add to the count at this week’s competition.
