By Rosalind Russell – Espanola council has given its approval to a proposal for municipal insurance for 2024.
Town Clerk Joseph Burke says council approved the proposal of Municipal Insurance Services Ltd. and Marsh Canada for the provision of insurance and risk management services for the Town.
Burke says the cost to the town is an annual premium of $199,575 for 2024.
He adds that represents a 4% increase over this year’s costs and covers all municipal facilities and properties.
