Usage will determine future of squash court at Espanola facility

By Rosalind Russell – Espanola’s Regional Recreation Complex had two squash courts, but due to lack of use and the need for space, one has been converted to a larger change room for female hockey players.

Town Clerk Joseph Burke says the fate of the second court will be decided in the future depending on if there is an increased use of the facility based on the new multi-faceted membership fee schedule.

He stresses no concrete plans have been made, but the court will be monitored over the coming months before any consideration is given to retrofit the remaining court.
