By Rosalind Russell – Plans have been finalized for the ringing of the bell on New Year’s Day at an Espanola church.
St. George Anglican Church hopes to see plenty of people take in the ceremony on January first where the steeple bell will be rung 100 times to welcome 2024, marking the 100th anniversary of the church opening its doors.
Members and non-members are all invited to take part in the momentous occasion.
Everyone is asked to arrive at 11:30 am with the ringing taking place at noon, followed by a social gathering of cupcakes, tea, and coffee.
