By Rosalind Russell – The 2023 Sables-Spanish Rivers Fire Department Service Awards Dinner was held last week to thank firefighters for their service.
Mayor Kevin Burke, councillors Merri-Ann Hobbs, Cheryl Phillips, and Mike Mercieca attended on behalf of the township council.
Mayor Burke and Fire Chief Blair Ramsay presented Certificates of Achievement to firefighters and volunteers for their years of service ranging from five years to 50.
