By Rosalind Russell – The Elliot Lake Ad Hoc Budget Committee has begun the budgeting process for 2024 and is encouraging public input.
Committee chair Councillor Norman Mann says the committee includes all members of council who met for their inaugural meeting last week.
The committee works with staff to create a proposed budget for council’s approval and is disbanded when the annual budget is approved.
Mann says they will be looking for public input and the city will advise the community once they set the dates for the budget process.
A schedule will now be prepared with talks expected to begin within the next couple of weeks.
