New volleyball league moving forward in Espanola

By Rosalind Russell – The call out for interest in a new volleyball league in Espanola for girls has been so successful, organizer Torrie Trottier says they will be looking at forming four teams.

Trottier says there will be two teams each within the two age groups, the U13 and U16 based on the interest expressed so far.

She adds the Ontario Volleyball Association has several stipulations including registering as a not-for-profit organization or incorporation, have a one-to-five-year plan including a mission statement, code of conduct, and financial policies.

To that end, she is looking to form an executive committee to implement the structure and is asking for any adults to contact her if they are interested in lending their expertise.

If all goes well, the league could be in place by early Spring.
