By Rosalind Russell – Two musical festivals on Manitoulin Island are coming to an end following a health scare.

Organizers Craig and KT Timmerman have announced their Rockin’ The Rock and Manitoulin Country Fest are being shut down.

KT says a significant health scare was the catalyst behind the decision, so anyone who has bought tickets for this year’s events will have their money returned.

She adds they were unable to find anyone to take over the events.

The events had attracted headliners in both genres throughout the years since the inception back in 2007.

Ticket refunds can be obtained directly through Eventbrite at eventbrite.ca or click through the website at www.frec.me.

For refunds on camping, email info@manitoulincountryfest.com by June 1, 2024.

Refunds for camping will be processed by etransfer directly.

The organizers request patience as they anticipate it will be busy processing the various refunds.
