Manitoulin Ice Showdown 2024 is set

By Rosalind Russell – If ice fishing is your thing, then you will be all set with the Manitoulin Ice Showdown, a major tourism event set for next month.

Wikwemikong Tourism is heading up one of Ontario’s largest fish derbies, which is set for February 17th on Manitowaning Bay and Lake Manitou, and features an entrance prize of $10,000 with an entry fee of $125.  

In 2020, the Manitoulin Ice Showdown reached record numbers attracting over 700 participants and giving away $70,000 in cash and prizes.  

The derby is held every year and has become a destination fishing tournament attracting anglers from across the province and beyond.
