By Grant Lewis – Any guesses where this picture was taken? No…….in the garage at The Manor in Little Current and yes that is indeed a bed. A new one in fact; one of 23 brand new beds being assembled for the Manor. This is yet another wonderful project piloted by the Annual Tree of Lights campaign to make life more comfortable and safer for the residents who live there. Past projects have included: new lighting system for the halls, new furniture for the dining room, safer non-slip flooring, kitchen improvements, enhancements outside so residents can enjoy the spectacular scenery at their doorstep, plus others. The Espanola Lions club has helped for five years since many residents and staff are from Espanola.
Congratulations to Don Cook and his team in almost reaching their goal of $43,000 to purchase new up to date beds for the Manor. We know that our donation of $3,500 will be well spent for a great cause.
