Manitoulin set to shine at Robotics Competition

By Rosalind Russell – In just two days, teams from across Ontario including Manitoulin Island will be at Nipissing University for North Bay’s 9th FIRST Robotics Competition.

North Bay’s FIRST Team 1305 will be welcoming 31 teams over the weekend.

The high school students will all be competing for a chance to earn their spot at the provincial championships, so they can represent their region at FIRST World Championship Event in Houston, Texas.

Manitoulin Metal Robotics FRC 6865 will be competing hoping to win once again and better their finish from last year’s global competition.

Out of 600 teams competing in Houston last year, they were one of the six top finalists.
