By Rosalind Russell – Espanola council has granting rezoning to a new company to build several new dwellings in Espanola.
XP Developments is planning to build six one-bedroom residential units in the Second Avenue area of town.
Company representative Paul Sotola told council the six units are much needed affordable, high quality and energy efficient single occupant rentals to help address the housing shortage.
A public hearing was held earlier this week and following the hearing, council approved the projects.
Construction is expected to begin soon.
