By Rosalind Russell – Espanola’s Helping Hand Food Bank is looking for people who can volunteer a bit of their time helping them out with a fundraiser.
Grant Lewis says the organization is once again the recipient of the Smile Cookie Spring Campaign at the Espanola and McKerrow locations that runs all this week.
He says they need volunteers to come in for a short period of time to help put the smiles on literally dozens of cookies.
And, if you cannot donate, consider putting in an order to the outlets for your workplace and/or family and friends.
All the proceeds will go directly to the food bank, which needs an average of $30,000 a month to be able to provide food and supports to individuals and families in the wider Espanola area.
Perhaps volunteers from your club, group or business could partner up and help. If you are interested, phone 705-869-5798 and we’ll try to fit a two-hour slot that suits you. Times are 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m, 11.00 a,m, to 1:00 p.m, and 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. from today until May 5th.
