By Rosalind Russell – She broke records and won many Canadian championships, but a former Espanola athlete has decided to retire and turn to coaching instead.
Caroline Ehrhardt broke the Canadian record in the Triple Jump last year and has been the Canadian Champion ten times.
She began her awarding athletic career at Espanola High School starting out at the high school level and eventually going on to international competition.
She says however last summer she injured her ankle, and it did not heal as well as she hoped.
Ehrhardt says has decided to retire from competition and coach others at Western University, her alma mater and long-time supporting university.
She also extends a warm thank you to everyone who supported her throughout her running and jumping career.
