Sudbury trustee selected as president of provincial association

By Rosalind Russell – A Sudbury trustee has been selected as president of the Ontario Catholic School Trustees Association.

Born in Sudbury, Michael Bellmore is a proud alumnus of Sudbury Catholic schools and was one of the youngest trustees ever elected back in 1994 and served as a member of the Cambrian College Board of Governors.

Chair of the Sudbury Catholic District School Board, he will now serve as President of OCSTA following the elections held last week during the Association’s 94th Annual General Meeting in Niagara Falls.

Bellmore says he is honoured to be selected for the position, adding the trust placed in him means he can continue to be a strong advocate for the system.
