Ford speaks out on LCBO

By Rosalind Russell – Premier Doug Ford says he firmly believes the Liquor Control Board of Ontario and the union representing its striking workers can reach a deal.
Ford says an offer was made last week that converts 400 casual employees to permanent full-time, as well as a seven per cent wage increase over three years, adding the union has yet to respond to it.
Thousands of workers walked off the job on Friday.
Ford says the LCBO remains willing and ready to get back to the bargaining table, but rolling back on their plan isn’t up for discussion adding the union needs to focus on issues that matters to workers including wages, benefits, and job security.
