Manitoulin Transport, headquartered in Gore Bay received the 2024 Transportation Safety Award from Northbridge Insurance late last month.
The winning carrier was benchmarked against hundreds of other fleets to have an exceptional track record in crash trends, collisions per million miles, proactive industry involvement, and a company-wide commitment to safety.
Company president Jeff King says receiving the award reaffirms their commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards across all operations.
Northbridge Insurance vice-president of transportation Brian Mather adds the dedication of the company has set the benchmark for the industry and their commitment to safety is commendable.
