Espanola hospital board names its 2024-2025 roster

By Rosalind Russell – The Espanola Regional Hospital and Health Centre has filled its roster for the new board, which will oversee operations during the 2024-2025 term.

Guy Despatie has been named the new chair, with Karen Lalonde continuing in her volunteer role as past chair.

First vice chair is Louise Gamelin, second vice is Jo Anne Boucher with Cynthia Townsend filling the role of treasurer, and Jane Battistelli as secretary.

Dr. Rob Lepage is the Chief of Staff and President of the Medical Staff is Dr. Kim Perlin.

Joseph Burke, Greg Gibson, Kim Armstrong, Nancy Hembruff, Jeremiah Steele and Shannon Ketchabaw are the designated trustees.

The role of the board is to ensure diversity representing the wider community, health equity for all, and work with staff and community groups in providing health care as the hub of the North Shore.
