Once a building destined to become a garage 17 years ago, it thankfully became “Cindy Bee’s Shoppe”, the home of the “Sunshine Quilters.” Of the eight to ten original members, about four remain. This very busy and dedicated group have quilted over 200 “lap quilts” for over 200 very appreciative cancer patients in our area. Many of these patients admit that they can feel the love and warmth from these quilts as they go through their cancer journey.
The “Shoppe” offers advice, worksops, quilting retreats, material, block of the month projects, plus much more. Cindy Bergeron even has many UTube videos to instruct on the tricks of the trade!! All day Wednesdays and Thursdays, and Tuesday afternoons are open for those needing advice on quilting and “sewalongs”.
And don’t worry, there is a garage behind the Shoppe!!!!!
The Espanola Lions Club recently presented a cheque for $3,000 to Pat Bernatchez, Cindy Bergeron and Deb Merchant. Great backdrop ladies…….
