By Rosalind Russell – The Providence Bay Agricultural Society on Manitoulin Island is ready to host their annual event after constructing a new building ready to accommodate up to around 20,000 people.
Committee volunteer Wayne Legge says the new stage will be ready for this year’s fair the weekend of August 16th.
He says Saturday night headliners (Jade Eagleson and Nate Haller) will cap off plenty of local musical talent from the Manitoulin.
Legge explains the new concrete building is quite large and has been built on the former motocross track, but due to the lack of room, there will be no onsite camping this year adding they are hoping to have 200 sites available next year.
Tickets will be available at the market in Providence Bay each Thursday or can be purchased online by visiting www.events.frontdoor.plus/event/633.
