By Rosalind Russell – The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League (NOJHL) has set up its 2024 preseason schedule.
Presently, 10 of the league’s 12-member clubs have multiple contests on their respective exhibition slates leading up to the start of the NOJHL’s 2024-25 campaign.
On-ice action will feature four teams taking part in a two-day event August 31-September 1 at John Rhodes Community Centre in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., with the host Soo Thunderbirds, as well as the Soo Eagles, Elliot Lake Vikings and Espanola Paper Kings taking part.
The Blind River Beavers, Greater Sudbury Cubs, Iroquois Falls Storm and Kirkland Lake Gold Miners also have preseason matchups on their dockets.
The NOJHL’s 2004-25 regular season gets underway September 12th.
