By Rosalind Russell – FedNor is investing over $377,000 to help Cambrian College accelerate research and development (R&D), support local businesses and create more jobs in Greater Sudbury.

Sudbury MP Viviane Lapointe made the announcement yesterday.

She says the investment will enable Cambrian College to hire a research engineer and a welding and fabrication technologist.

Lapointe says the technologist will oversee the production and assembly of prototypes and new products.

In turn, she adds, the products and solutions will be used by industry partners in mining, clean-tech and others.
