Moose helps raise thousands for kids

By Rosalind Russell – The Moose 94.1FM worked in partnership with the Elliot Lake Food Bank last Friday to raise thousands of dollars to help kids get back to school.

Len Kutchaw with the food bank says $9,400 was raised through the radiothon, with the funds going towards providing healthy food for children heading back to the classroom.

He adds All Star Children’s Services also donated 25 backpacks filled with school supplies and each containing a $50 gift card from Lifestyle and Sporting Goods to buy shoes.

Kutchaw thanked the radio station, volunteers, and especially the donors for making the 2024 campaign such a success.
