CCC students arrive at St. Joseph General Hospital 

By Rosalind Russell – St. Joseph General Hospital is welcoming three Comprehensive Community Clerkship students from the Northern Ontario School of Medicine University this fall. 

According to the release, from September through April, the students will be integral members of the team, starting with Tiana Bressan. 

Bressan is a medical student at the university in the Rural Generalist Pathway.  

Born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, she has completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Guelph.  

She has also completed a cardiology placement in Italy and researched the challenges to implementing technology in rural and remote Indigenous communities in Peru.  

Bressan adds she plans to stay in Northern Ontario to practice rural family medicine.
