By Rosalind Russell – A contingent of firefighters have come through to assist the North Shore Health Network with funding for equipment.
The firefighters donated $4,392.15 to the North Shore Health Network Auxiliary – Thessalon Site, to help purchase hospital equipment.
Officials say the donation was made possible thanks to their Fill the Boot Campaign.
Since they began the campaign in 2003, they have donated over $66,000 to the auxiliary, all in the name of Nick Amber who passed away several years ago. His family, who owns K & H Fireworks, have and continue to supply the firefighters’ fireworks for over 20 years.
