By Rosalind Russell – The Municipality of Huron Shores is alerting residents of scam calls circulating in the community, falsely claiming to collect donations for burn victims on behalf of the Huron Shores Fire Department.
In the release, the municipality states the fire department is not soliciting donations for burn victims by phone or any other method.
They advise all residents to exercise caution and if someone receives a call, do not engage or provide any personal or financial information.
