By Rosalind Russell – If you have a new idea for tourism in the northeast, several regional groups want to hear from you.
The Northeastern Ontario “Spark” Mentorship & Grants Program looks to inspire entrepreneurs, non-profits, community groups and others to come forward with creative ideas that will spark new tourism offerings, experiences, and more.
Selected applicants will receive a $3,000 seed grant, mentorship and support to help bring their new tourism ideas to life.
Among other things, past recipients include culinary experiences, stand-up paddle board programs, pop-up ice bike rentals, and a floating cafe.
Applications are being accepted until Oct. 29 with three winners selected after a juried review process and a pitch session for the finalists.
