Economic development dollars available for Indigenous

By Rosalind Russell – The province will continue to help economic development in Indigenous communities.

Three point two million dollars is available through the Indigenous Economic Development Fund…and six million dollars is accessible through the Indigenous Community Capital Grants Program.

The province says funding will help Indigenous businesses, communities and organizations develop infrastructure, create growth plans and support access to skills training.

Minister of Indigenous Affairs Greg Rickford says targeted, tailored support will help strengthen Ontario’s indigenous communities and local economies.

Applications will be accepted online until November 14.
