By Rosalind Russell – Elliot Lake City Council is reviewing a draft bylaw defining restricted areas, parking, and fine amounts for infractions within city limits.
City By-law Officer Bruce Elliott presented a staff report and draft update to the Bylaw and Planning Committee last week.
He says the bylaw currently in place was passed in 1979 and needs to be updated, including fines and consequences for users.
The committee voted to pass the draft and forwarded it to the council for final approval later this month.
