By Rosalind Russell – The Rainbow District School Board’s Annual Report for the 2023-2024 school year has been released, which provides a snapshot of the strategic priorities for the schools it oversees.
Director of Education Bruce Bourget says school Boards are required to produce an Annual Report in accordance with The Education Act.
He says it provides a snapshot of how the Board’s strategic priorities being implemented in Rainbow Schools.
Bourget adds those priorities focus on mental health and well-being, literacy and numeracy, student success and achievement, environmental education and sustainability, truth and reconciliation, and equity and inclusive education.
Board chair David Farrow adds the document is also a guide for the effective use of instructional strategies, assessment tools, resources and interventions to foster student success.
He adds the Annual Report provides highlights of Rainbow District School Board’s key activities during the 2023-2024 school year as well as an overview of the 2024-2025 budget.
