By Rosalind Russell – The Blind River Fire Department extinguished a fire on Wednesday evening that occurred on Algoma Street in Blind River.
Director of Protective Services Ryan Belair says it took about four hours to put out the blaze.
He says there were no injuries or fatalities, but the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Still with the story, a friend, Skyler Labelle, says the family lost everything and a Go Fund Me has been set up to assist them.
He says the family includes a single mother with three children who also takes care of her father.
