By Rosalind Russell – Espanola council has approved the in-kind donation request from the Espanola Pickleball Club to waive the arena floor and rink side auditorium rental fees on June 1st to offset the costs associated with hosting an invitational inter club tournament.
This is a first-time request from the Espanola Pickleball Club, which has made donations to local groups including the Helping Hand Food Bank and Long-Term Care from their tournament registration fees.
Waiving the fees of just over $1,200 will assist the club in increasing the funds donated to a local cause once again this year.
