By Rosalind Russell – Andréane Chénier was acclaimed as the New Democrat candidate for the riding of Nickel Belt at the Nomination Meeting held in late June at CUPE 4705 Hall.
It is anticipated that the election will be called in 2025.
At that time, the name of the Riding becomes Sudbury East-Manitoulin-Nickel Belt.
Carol Hughes was recognized for her representation of Manitoulin and Highway 17 West as well as Algoma and Kapuskasing.
The riding of AMK will cease to exist when the writ is dropped.
