By Rosalind Russell – The Anishinabek Nation opened its 2nd Annual Anishinabek Nation Economic Development Opportunities Forum yesterday.
The event being held at Casino Rama Resort in Orillia is focusing on Economic Reconciliation for Sustainable Development, fostering economic growth, sustainability, and opportunities for the Anishinabek Nation communities.
The Forum will feature panels, workshops, and networking opportunities on key topics, including resource development, business growth, and innovation.
Keynote presentations will be delivered by John Beaucage, a First Nation leader and former Anishinabek Nation Grand Council Chief, and Gary “Litefoot” Davis, a member of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma with a distinguished career in arts, entertainment, and business leadership.
