By Rosalind Russell – For the next two months, local small businesses who don’t have an online presence can sign up to take their business digital for free through an Elliot Lake non-profit group.
Celia Sankar, DiversityCanada’s executive director, says through the Golden Voices Reconnecting & Rebuilding Project, the foundation aims to help local businesses grow online.
She says there is federal funding of up to $2,400 to set up or expand their website and conduct online marketing to increase their sales.
Sankar adds the program will stop taking applications by the end of September.
She says she will host an online information session about the program on Tuesday, August 6th at 6:00 p.m.
Interested businesses can register to attend the webinar at

Businesses that want to learn more ahead of the information session or who can’t attend the webinar can book an appointment to speak with DiversityCanada’s Business Development Officer Christopher Elliott at https://Localbiz.GoldenVoices.com or by calling (705) 261-1624.
