By Rosalind Russell – The Let’s Remember Adam campaign is reminding drivers that school buses will be back on the road this week.
Chair Pierre Ranger says kids are excited to get back to class and aren’t necessarily paying attention … so it’s up to drivers to take extra care – and stop for the school bus.
His brother Adam was killed in 2000 when a truck failed to stop for his school bus in Mattawa.
Ranger says the cameras should be the industry standard.
He says Mattawa is the only community in Ontario with the stop arm cameras – although others are testing them out.
