Blind River resident receives Governor General’s Academic Medal

By Rosalind Russell – It was one of the most prestigious ways for a Blind River student to cap off their year.

A recent graduate of École secondaire catholique Jeunesse-Nord in Blind River, Meghan Raddon, has been presented with the Governor General’s Academic Medal for the 2023-2024 school year.

The medal is awarded to the student graduating from Grade 12 with the highest average at the completion of his secondary school studies.

The award was presented to Meghan by her principal, Hassan Azzi earlier this week.
