Retired teacher latest inductee into the Northern Ontario Country Music Association Hall of Fame

By Rosalind Russell – A retired Elliot Lake teacher will take to the stage, but for a totally different educational reason.

It was officially announced earlier this Spring that Jim Graham would be the latest inductee into the Northern Ontario Country Music Association with the award to be formally presented to him in November.

Last weekend, the Blind River group, Women in Song, who nominated him for his great musical skills and his love of teaching music to others, hosted a fundraiser to pay for the trip to Sault Ste. Marie for the award presentation.

With over 200 people attending the show, it was a sell-out, and he is well set for the trip west.

The award nights will be held November third and fourth at the Quattro Hotel and Conference Centre in Sault Ste. Marie.
