Call for applying to Youth Mental Health Fund now open

Organizations considering introducing new programming to assist youth with health issues can apply for new funding.

Marc G. Serré, MP for Nickel Belt, says the call for proposals under the Youth Mental Health Fund has been launched.

He says the fund will help community organizations expand the mental health care services they offer to youth, add capacity, and fill gaps and ensure they are integrated within the broader healthcare system.

He adds it will also help community organizations link into Integrated Youth Service networks and/or provincial and territorial health systems adding not-for-profit organizations and public post-secondary education institutions can apply.

Serré adds the initiative is part of a $500 million investment over five years committed in Budget 2024 and the proposals are due by January 22nd, 2025.
