By Rosalind Russell – It was a packed house Wednesday evening at Cambrian College as students, alumni and donors gathered at the college to celebrate close to $1.5 million in bursaries and scholarships awarded this year to more than 1,400 students.
This annual financial awards night is just an amazing celebration of student excellence and the ongoing generosity of our donors, says President Kristine Morrissey.
She adds it is heartwarming and reassuring as the leader of a post-secondary institution that are all still one family and one community who share in the collective dedication to see students thrive.
Every year, Cambrian College offers students the opportunity to apply for more than 900 scholarships and bursaries that are provided courtesy the college and its many donors.
