By Rosalind Russell – The Cameco team is looking forward to hosting a free barbecue for the community.
This is the second year Cameco has hosted the community barbecue with last year’s gathering held to celebrate the company’s 35th anniversary.
Blind River Operations General Manager Terry Davis says it is an opportunity for leaders and experts to share information about the Blind River Refinery and other Cameco operations with the public, in a relaxed atmosphere.
He adds they will also share information about their environmental monitoring program, regulatory compliance, nuclear fuel cycle, as well as the results from their recent Blind River community survey.
Davis adds the barbecue is free and everyone is invited to attend – it’s being held at Sellers Park in Blind River on Thursday, September 12 from 4 to 6 p.m.
